FA Youth Award

Details of the FA Youth Award - (Modules 1 and 2) in 2011 and 2012 are now available to book! The April 2011 Module 1 course is supported by McDonalds and as such candidates from Northumberland FA Charter Standard Clubs will receive a full refund of all course fees on completion of the award (restricted to one applicant per club).

 

How does it work?

The course is split into three units. Candidates can chose to do individual modules 1 and 2 without having to commit to the whole course. All three modules are required to obtain the FA Youth Award

What are the Units?

Module 1: Developing the Environment (not assessed)

Module 2: Developing the Practice (not assessed)

Module 3: Broad Concepts (assessed)

Do I need a Level 2 CCF to do units 1 and 2?

No.
The pre requisites are sighted further down. Units 1 and 2 have been designed for coaches who are working within the 5-11 age range who have no desire to do a Level 2 CCF.

Tell me more about Unit 1?

A four day course aimed at those working with 5-11 year old players who want to further their knowledge and understanding. A course which encompasses a variety of theoretical and practical tasks around the learning processes involved when coaching 5-11 year old players.
