The development of football opportunities for disabled people has gathered momentum at The FA tremendously over the past six years.
The FA is committed to helping anyone with a disability to become involved in football as a player, coach, referee or fan - from representative sides to investment in grassroots participation, and from removing barriers for playing to creating opportunities to be involved at all levels.
There is now a National Disability Football Strategy in place together with a National Disability Football Development Manager, Jeff Davis.
As Northumberland FA, the Football Development Team are committed to providing opportunities for disabled people to participate in the game, and this will be one of our priorities over the coming months and years.
