Northumberland FA - developing football for everyone
Development - take your skills to the next level

Women and Girls

Our game continues to be the biggest team sport for females in this Country and the future health of the women's game at every level depends on the development of young players and encouraging their involvement and enjoyment of football.

One key aspect of this development is the movement of young players from school activities to quality FA Charter Standard clubs. The aim of the Northumberland FA Girls Football Plan is to enthuse, retain and develop players, coaches and volunteers no matter where they come from and regardless of their ability.

Subscribe free to our ‘Female Mailing List’ and be the first to hear about any coaching and playing opportunities coming up in Northumberland and County Durham area.

Our long term goal is to create a ‘Female Mentoring Scheme’ where we would hope to provide females who are active players or coaches the chance to progress and offer ongoing support to help make them reach their full potential.
