Lowick YFC become Regional Charter Standard Development Club of the Year 2008!!!

Lowick Y.F.C. have been awarded the Football Association’s Charter Standard Regional Development Club of the Year. The award was presented on Saturday morning by Northumberland FA Council Member Norman Laidler.


“This is a magnificent achievement. “said Norman “ and the club will now go forward to the National finals. It’s amazing to drive past here on a Saturday morning and see so many youngsters enjoying the game."

The club recently amalagmated with Lowick F.C and Glendale ladies to form Lowick United. Chairman of the new club Anthony Hogg said " We are all very pleased with the new structure as this means there is now a positive, strong and growing youth structure in place for further development.”

Lowick Y.F.C now run five sections and a girls team 12-14 and recruit from all over the district from towns such as Berwick and small villages like Norham.

“We started as an after school club some 11 years ago here in Lowick.” said Secretary and founder member Bill Blyth “We would like to thank our sponsors for being so generous. I would also like to thank all the coaches and parents who give up so much of their valuable time to help us.”
