Cullercoats FC and Cramlington Town have become the latest clubs to be awarded Community Club Status, raising the number of clubs at this level within Northumberland to 10.
Following months of hardwork behind the scenes by the clubs and the NFA Development Team, the awards were finalised this week and have been ratified by the FA.
Mark Woodhall, NFA Football Development Officer commented; "Achieving this award is not easy and both clubs have shown excellent commitment to players, volunteers, and club officials in successfully gaining Community Club Status. They have shown that they are looking to be involved in developing football opportunities for the local community well into the future and can offer an appropriate environment in which players can develop."
