Northumberland Referees Appointed to High-Level Fixtures

Three referees from Northumberland have recently been approved to officiate at a number of high-profile matches, including the SSE Women’s FA Cup...

Northumberland FA Referee Development Officer Lindsey Robinson, who is also a referee affiliated with Durham FA, has been appointed as an assistant referee at this year’s Women’s FA Cup Final, while Lucy Oliver, who is affiliated to Northumberland FA, will be the fourth official.

This match will take place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 14 May, when Chelsea and Arsenal’s senior women’s sides will go head-to-head.

In addition to this, another Northumberland FA referee, Scott Duncan, has been chosen as one of a select group of 18 officials which will operate primarily in the Football League Championship.

As a member of this group Scott will be employed by PGMOL, which will allow him to commit fully to a dedicated training programme.

Northumberland FA would like to congratulate these referees on their success and wish them luck with their appointments.
