Project Pitchside: Learn More and Share Your Views

Learn more about Newcastle United Foundation’s ambitious plans to build a hub for community sport, education and wellbeing by attending an event at The Core in Newcastle on Wednesday 13 December (3:00pm-7:00pm).

Earlier this year Newcastle United Foundation unveiled proposals for a new sports and education facility on land close to the football club’s city centre home.

The multi-million pound development in Diana Street is set to include two sports halls, a football pitch and classrooms to deliver learning and training, as well as a meeting and activity space for the wider community.

The Foundation has contracted the Newcastle office of national planning and development consultancy Lichfields to progress the application, at the site of the Murray House Recreational Centre, on its behalf.

And Lichfields, along with the Foundation and Ryder Architects, is holding a public consultation event on December 13 at The Core, in Science Central, to elaborate and seek community views on the proposals.

Drop in anytime between 3.00pm and 7.00pm at The Core, Science Central, Newcastle, NE4 5TF.
