CEO Column: Your Feedback Will Make a Difference

Thank you for joining me on the Northumberland FA website for the latest edition of my weekly column.

I’d like to start by thanking everybody who completed our 2017 Grassroots Football Survey last month. A total of 455 players, coaches, referees, spectators and volunteers took the time to provide us with some valuable feedback which will help us to improve grassroots football in Northumberland moving forward. This figure was an improvement on last year’s level of responses so I’d like to thank you all once again for your time -the feedback you provided will make a difference.

Our next FA Level 1 in Coaching Football course may have sold out this week, but I’m delighted to say that there’s another opportunity available for aspiring football coaches to take their first steps onto the FA Coaching Pathway. We will be starting a new Level 1 course at Kenton School in Newcastle on Sunday 14 January to give learners an insight into how the English game is played and how they work with players from under-7 to open age.

The feedback we receive from our Level 1 courses is always positive and spaces do get snapped up very quickly, so please CLICK HERE and book your place before it’s too late.

On a different note, Tyne Metropolitan College will be hosting an open evening on Tuesday (14 November), to give players the opportunity to learn more about its Men’s Football Academy Programme. I know that continuing to play regular football whilst studying at college is something that many young players wish to do, so this open evening will give those players a valuable insight into how the Academy works and how they can enquire into USA scholarship as well. Enjoy the rest of your week.

John.
