CEO Column: Join the team at Northumberland FA

We’re approaching a very busy time here at Northumberland FA, as the new football season – which is always so hotly anticipated at both a grassroots and professional level – draws ever closer.

I’d like to begin this week’s column by drawing your attention to two current vacancies we have here at Northumberland FA. The first is a Director/Trustee role, for which the successful applicant will be responsible for developing our business plan and promoting the values and activities of our organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to join a registered charity and help develop the nation’s favourite game across Northumberland, so please do CLICK HERE for details or contact me on John.Ackerley@NorthumberlandFA.com if you wish to discuss the role further.

Meanwhile, those in the earlier stages of their careers are being encouraged to apply for the position of Apprentice Administrator. Perfect for anyone looking to get their foot in the door at a football organisation, key responsibilities of this role will include managing our reception, administering our coach education programme and managing all County Cup competitions, whilst handling email and telephone enquiries in a professional manner. The deadline to apply is Monday 20 August, and further information is available HERE

On a different note, we’re now accepting entry forms for this season’s Friday Night Elevens League – a flexible 11-a-side format perfect for players who wish to play the game on a more casual, stress-free basis. The League begins on Friday 21 September at Benfield Sports Centre, and the team entry form can be downloaded by CLICKING HERE

Finally, to follow on from the success of this year’s event, we’re excited to announce that our 2019 Pitch Maintenance Conference has been confirmed to take place on Thursday 21 February. We had 50 delegates join us for our first conference earlier this year, and hope to welcome another great turnout to our 2019 event. Keep a close eye on our website and social media channels for further updates.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

John.
