Northumberland FA is delighted to announce that it will be beginning a Female Only Level 1 in Coaching Football Course at Northumbria University’s High Performance Centre on Wednesday 25 April.

Having recently received Women’s High Performance Football Centre (WHPFC) status from The Football Association, Northumbria University will work collaboratively to lead and drive the development of coaches across the North East, within women and girls’ football (WGF). 

Moreover, the WHPFC will seek to ensure the appropriate opportunities and infrastructures are in place to increase the quantity and quality of WGF coaches in the region. 

The course, which begins on  Wednesday 25 April and is aimed exclusively at female coaches, will be the first of its kind since the new national coaching pathway was put in place in 2016 and is one of the first opportunities we are looking to deliver to support the development of female coaches. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for female coaches to take their first step onto the coaching ladder and, in doing so, enhance the quality of experience they offer to players at their club.
