Teams across Northumberland are championing Respect

Grassroots teams across Northumberland are making huge strides in showing respect, according to a new report.

After games, teams are asked to rate each other on whether respect standards have been met,  and new figures show that Northumberland FA has rating of 93% positive behaviour - 5% above the national target of 88%.

And 97% of teams at U7, U8 and U9 levels reported that they’d had a positive experience.

Northumberland FA Chief Executive John Ackerley said: “These are excellent results and show that the values of respect are being upheld across our area.

"We will continue to build on this and work with clubs and leagues to further improve attitudes and behaviour.”
