 Just announced - expert coaches from The FA will be holding practical coaching demos plus seminars to help you take your training sessions to the next level.

Paul McGuinness

Paul spent over 23 years in Manchester United’s youth set-up which saw 86 academy players go on to make a first-team debut, with 23 becoming full internationals.

He was in charge of United's victorious FA Youth Cup side of 2011, which featured current England internationals Michael Keane and Jesse Lingard.

After leaving Carrington in February 2016, Paul travelled the globe to experience football coaching practices in different nations, before joining The FA to primarily help support coaches who are on the coaching pathway in the Professional game.  

Pete Sturgess

 Pete has dedicated his coaching career to the development of Foundation Phase players and is renowned far and wide for his expertise and knowledge in this area. Pete’s work at The FA sits across both the professional and Grassroots game, where he delivers on the FA’s Advanced Youth Award and continues to develop the England DNA material for 5-11 year old players.

The last few years have seen Pete tour the Country with his DNA roadshow events and we are delighted to welcome him back to the North East  

Graeme Carrick

 Graeme is the Youth Development Phase DNA project lead for The FA and has been responsible for the ever expanding content and understanding of players in this age range, much of which has been published on The FA Bootroom website and beyond.  Additionally, Graeme supports coaches working in professional Academies and brings vast experience to the role having worked with and alongside some of the finest coaches and youth developers of recent times.
