Northumberland FA

Qualification requirements season 2021 2022

Minimum requirements for coaches, committee members and referees have been updated for the new season

We have updated the qualifications requirements for the forthcoming season for coaches, committee members and referees. These can be downloaded below.

Please note that the Playmaker is only sufficient for people who occasionally ‘help out’ with a team – for example a parent. It is not classed as a coaching qualification, rather it is an entry level introduction to the grassroots football environment.

Anyone who is involved in leading the coaching for team, or who would step in on a regular basis when a manager is unavailable needs to complete the new online Introduction to Coaching Football Course (I2CF). This includes managers/coaches and assistant managers/coaches. It can be accessed here:

https://thebootroom.thefa.com/learning/qualifications/introduction-to-coaching-football

The  I2FC is now full for July and August. Places are available on the September, October and November intakes and places are going fast so please sign up asap. There will be no I2FC available in December 2021 and January 2022.

Please  contact Coach Development Officer Gary Middleton Gary.Middleton@northumberlandfa.com for more information.
