CEO Column: Have Your Say on Youth Football

Are you keen to express your views on a number of issues in youth football? If so, our Youth Football Forum may just be perfect for you.
Here at Northumberland FA, we listen to what those involved in the grassroots game in Northumberland have to say, and I believe these forums provide an excellent opportunity for players, coaches and representatives to make their opinions heard on the game’s key issues. We are a County FA that champions change and I think it’s vital for developments in grassroots football to reflect the opinions of those involved on a daily basis.

The forum will take place at Ashington Football Club on Thursday 16 March, and more information can be found by clicking here. Furthermore, Whitley Park will play host to a forum for North Tyneside clubs on 28 March (6:30pm) and for Newcastle based clubs on 30 March (6:30pm). For additional information, please email Ian.Skinner@NorthumberlandFA.com

Next this week I’d like to say how delighted I am that Made in Tyne and Wear will continue to broadcast North-East football cup draws into the 2017/18 season. Earlier this season, supporters were able to watch draws for all rounds of the Techflow Northumberland FA Senior Cup, and I am confident that the partnership between Northumberland FA and Football Matters will continue enhance key aspects of grassroots football in the county.

Finally, just five spaces remain on our FA Mentoring Adults course which takes place at Whitley Park on Tuesday 21 March. This course is designed to support those who wish to develop their mentoring skills and more information can be found at the link below.
