Clubs Invited to Men's Football Academy Open Evening

Tyne Metropolitan College offer school leavers the opportunity to continue their footballing aspirations along with their chosen academic / vocational course.  The North East Sports Academy was set up to allow learners of all ability levels to still pursue their love of sport within a supportive environment that encourages personal development.

The Football Academy works in partnership with the Newcastle United Foundation and the coaching team consists of Marc Nash (Head Coach), Paul Robinson, Matias Fondato and Ian Aitken.

Players have access to 10 hours of training and competitive matches each week and have access to many other benefits, including through the College’s exclusive partnership with Pass4soccer. All these benefits are listed in this brochure.

If you accompany your team to the meeting, you will be invited to a free Sports Psychology Workshop on the evening between 7-8pm, which will be delivered by David Gleghorn of Success Is Mental Ltd who worked closely with Morpeth Town FC in the lead up to their FA Vase success in 2016. Tyne Met will also offer you and your team a free winter fitness session at the College on an agreed date.

Programme of Activity for Open Evening

5.45pm – 6.00pm – Arrive at Coast Road Campus Reception (NE28 9NL).

6.00pm – 6.30pm – Presentation from Marc Nash on the Men’s Football Academy at Tyne Met College.

6.30pm – 7.00pm – Presentation from Daniel Gray of Pass4Soccer on USA scholarship and partnership with Tyne Met College.

7.00pm – 8.00pm – Players and Parents to visit curriculum areas to gather information on potential courses to study.

7.00pm – 8.00pm – Under-16 Coaches or Representatives to access Free Sports Psychology Workshop delivered by David Gleghorn.
