CEO Column: Youth Development Update a Success

It’s a busy time at Northumberland FA so there’s plenty to get through in my column this week! Thank you as ever for taking the time to join me...
We were pleased to host a Youth Development Update at Whitley Park last night, giving us a great opportunity to present to a selection of our affiliated clubs. Our Football Development Officer, Ian Skinner, led the session superbly and our County Development Manager, Mark Woodhall, followed on to offer an update on facilities. I’d like to thank everyone who attended on the night, but a special mention goes to John Folwell from The FA, who also came up to deliver a presentation. We feel that communicating with our clubs on a regular basis is essential so events like these can only be a good thing - I hope everyone that attended found it as useful as we did.

Next I’d like to remind you of two current vacancies available at Northumberland FA. Regular visitors to our website and social media channels will have seen that we are currently recruiting a Finance Director. The successful candidate will work to ensure that a corporate financial plan is developed and maintained whilst overseeing the delivery of an appropriate and achievable business plan. This is a voluntary position but expenses will be covered. The closing date for applications is tomorrow (15 September), so please click here to find out how you can apply.

We’re also looking to recruit a matchday physio to work with our Under-18 county squad. In addition to gaining valuable experience working with talented players and high calibre coaches, the physio will receive a Nike match kit to wear on matchdays and have access to discounted Nike kit and equipment. Thanks for your time and enjoy the rest of your week.

John.
