As you may have seen on our website, we hosted Nike’s Most Wanted trials at our HQ
, Whitley Park, earlier this month. It was a pleasure to have 18 players from across the North of England visit us and make use of our fantastic facilities. The Nike Football Academy is run with the intention of helping these youngsters find a professional club, so I would like to wish all who took part the very best of luck in their careers.
It was also great to see the return of the fantastic FA Girls’ Football Week this month. Running from the 10th-16th October, the week aimed to encourage as many girls to play football as possible. I was delighted to hear that more than 80,000 people took part, which was almost four times the original target.
