Newcastle East End Juniors to take part in new FA Programme
Northumberland FA is delighted to announce that one of our member clubs, Newcastle East End Juniors, has been chosen to be part of one of the Football Association's blue chip programmes.
The club is one of 25 pilot clubs chosen by the FA and they will be supported by an FA consultant who will work closely with the club to assist in its development.
The opportunities provided by community clubs has significantly increased and The FA wish to further recognise these clubs and provide support services that are relevant for the clubs.
It will do so by implementing a new club framework to replace the current FA Charter Standard Programme in 2020/21.
To reflect the scale, diversity and community involvement of clubs as well as raising the standards across all grassroots football a proposed progressive framework has been created through consultation with clubs and other stakeholders that will support, recognise and reward all clubs as well as incentivize clubs to progress through the framework.
The benefits to Newcastle East End Juniors is they have been allocated a dedicated FA Club Consultant, Frank Bell, who will provide a holistic view of the club, assist in identifying key challenges and work in collaboration to create solutions on the clubs agreed priorities.
As part of this they will also identify and align specialist or professional services to support the club in achieving its priorities.
Newcastle East End Juniors will also have the opportunity to meet with other likeminded club leaders from the programme and share best practices and experiences to help with the challenges ahead.
The Club Consultant Frank Bell, has met with the club together with the Northumberland FA Football Development Officer Ian Skinner. Frank was very impressed by the considerable work that has been done by the volunteers to make this such a successful community club and he is excited to be working with Newcastle East End Juniors on this innovative and exciting programme.
