Reeves Independent Fair Play Trophy Finalists Announced

Northumberland FA is delighted to announce that Lowick United and Wallsend Rosehill Tavern will be the two finalists in the Reeves Independent Fair Play Trophy.

Both teams will battle it out at Whitley Park on Friday 17th May 2019 (7:30pm kick off) for a prize of £1,000 and the accolade being ‘fair play champions’.

Wealth management company Reeves Independent backed the project at the start of the season and pledged three years of support in order to tackle foul play in grassroots football.

The league table was made up of all teams competing in male 11v11 competitive football in either a Saturday or Sunday league at Step 7 or below and was based upon discipline points picked up during the year.

After a very successful debut season we had three teams (Lowick United, Wallsend Rosehill Tavern and Bedlington ‘A’) who were all level after a number of tiebreakers which meant names were drawn individually out of a hat to determine the final.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Nigel Reeves from Reeves Independent for his passion and enthusiasm to lift this unique project off the ground.
