Recent wet weather has led to the postponement of lots of matches and training sessions – but there’s a new alternative in  North Tyneside. Teams who want to dodge waterlogged pitches can now book the new 3G facility at Amberley Playing Fields, Killingworth.

The new full-size pitch opened last month and is floodlit. There are also changing rooms and a clubhouse on site which will soon be refurbished.

It’s open 7 days a week, from 8am to 9pm weekdays and 8am to 5pm at weekends, making it a great choice for evening events.
