Let’s keep football 100% positive!
After our young referees went on strike last weekend to highlight the issues they face, we’re now urging clubs to take action against any spectators, players or coaches who behave in an unacceptable manner.
This weekend, we have issued posters to all clubs to highlight the fact that anyone who insults, abuses or behaves improperly towards a match official can be asked to leave the ground. Home clubs must address any instances of poor behaviour, including removing individuals if necessary.
These posters MUST be displayed by clubs at all their grounds, under FA Rule E24, for the remainder of the season. It should also be circulated to all club members immediately. Failure to comply with this could result in misconduct proceedings being brought against clubs.
